In 1994, at just 21 years old, Mac Livingston founded Livingston Family Tree Service. With three years of industry experience, a $5,000 business loan, and nothing more than a single chainsaw and climbing gear, Mac traveled to towns across New Hampshire and Massachusetts, building trusted customer relationships one property at a time.

As business grew across the region, Mac continued to invest in the company, purchasing his first wood chipper in 1996, a log truck in 1999 and a bucket truck in 2008. Today, Livingston Family Tree Service operates a full fleet of log trucks, bucket trucks and wood chippers, enabling the crew to deliver efficient, reliable service to customers.

By 1997, Mac welcomed his first employee, his cousin, Steven, marking the start of a dedicated team that continues to grow today. Still proudly family-owned and operated, the Livingston Family Tree Service crew now includes Mac’s son, Cole, who works as a skilled climber, his son-in-law, Chris, who oversees daily operations, and his daughter, Taylor, who leads his marketing and advertising efforts.

In 2005, Mac and one of his employees, Anthony, spent months in Louisiana and Florida assisting with recovery efforts following the devastation of Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma – an experience that underscored the company’s commitment to being there when people need help most. That dedication lives on, as Livingston Family Tree Service continues to provide 24/7 emergency tree services across New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
